What are credits?

Credits in viaSocket let you manage usage for paid built-in plugs and AI agents while also extending your workflow capacity when your plan’s task limit is reached.

How Credits Work with Paid Plugs and AI Agents

Each paid built-in plug or AI agent consumes a specific number of credits depending on the action. For example:

  • Sending an SMS may consume 1 credit per message for some countries and 5 credits per message for other countries.

  • Sending a WhatsApp message uses 5 credits per message.

  • Running an AI agent may use a different number of credits depending on the complexity of the task.

This ensures you only spend credits based on actual usage, giving you control over your automations.

Using Credits as Tasks

If you’ve reached your task limit according to your plan, remaining credits can be used to run additional tasks.

  • Conversion: 1 credit = 2 tasks.

  • This applies only when your standard task quota is exhausted.

Getting and Managing Credits

  • Top up anytime: Purchase credits directly from your workspace.

  • Program benefits: Some programs or offers provide credits as part of their benefits.

  • Monthly reset: Credits and tasks reset automatically at the start of your workspace’s monthly plan cycle.

Suppose you have an automation that sends WhatsApp messages and updates a Google Sheet. If your monthly task limit is reached:

  • You can use credits to continue sending WhatsApp messages.

  • The same credits can also be used to keep your Google Sheet updates running without interruption.
