Webhook as Trigger
A Webhook lets an external app or service send data to your viaSocket Workflow when an event occurs. The incoming data can then be used in the following Workflow steps.
Set up a Webhook Trigger
Create a new Workflow.
Click Add Trigger.
Select When a webhook is triggered.
Copy the Webhook URL
After selecting the Webhook Trigger, viaSocket provides a unique Webhook URL.
Copy the Webhook URL.
Open the external app or service that will send data to viaSocket.
Add the copied URL as the destination for its webhook.
Receive data from the Webhook
Once the webhook is configured in the external app or service, send a request to the Webhook URL.
viaSocket receives the incoming data and makes it available to the following Workflow steps.
Add Actions
After receiving the webhook data, add the actions you want the Workflow to perform.
For example:
Webhook → Send Slack message
Webhook → Add row to Google Sheets
Webhook → Send confirmation email
You can connect the Workflow to apps available through viaSocket.
Publish the Workflow
Once you've configured your actions:
Save your action steps.
Click Go Live to publish the Workflow.
The Workflow will run when data is sent to your Webhook URL.
