Introduction

Protect sensitive PDFs before they’re shared. This flow applies PDF restrictions automatically and saves the secured file back to Google Drive ✅

Trigger Event

A webhook receives a Google Drive file ID (and optionally a file name).

Actions

  • If a file ID is present, the flow builds a direct-download link for that Drive file.
  • Plumsail Documents processes the PDF and applies protection settings: ➜ Disable extraction, annotations, and modifications ➜ Allow printing (configurable)
  • The protected PDF is then uploaded to Google Drive with a new name like “Protected_<original-name>”.
