- Validates and normalizes the incoming webhook fields (request ID, priority, status, assignee, timestamp, and due date), filling sensible defaults when values are missing.
- Searches Google Sheets for an existing row that matches the same
request_idto prevent duplicates. - Updates the existing Google Sheets row if found, or creates a new row if it’s a brand-new request.
- If the issue priority is High or Critical, creates a Google Doc incident report containing the full request details.
- Writes the generated Google Doc URL back into the matching Google Sheets row so the report stays linked to the record.
- Sends a formatted Slack notification to your chosen channel with the key issue details (including an overdue flag and the Doc link when available).
