Slack Approval Modal for QA Sign‑off (with auto updates)

Introduction

Speed up QA sign‑off and keep your task table in sync—right from Slack. ✅

Trigger Event

When a record is updated in your viaSocket Table (Task table), this automation checks the task’s status.

Actions

• If the status is In Review:

  • The flow builds a preview URL from the task’s "new_feature" value (formats it for the link).
  • Sends a Slack message in your chosen channel to the requester, including:
    • Task title and direct Task URL
    • Preview URL
    • Who to contact if something’s missing

• If the status is Merge Pending QA:

  • A Slack modal opens for the reviewer with two fields:
    • Decision: Approved or Rejected
    • Reason: Optional notes for context
  • On submit:
    • The decision is saved back to the same task row (Requester_Review field).
    • If Rejected, the Reason of Rejection is also saved to the task row.

• If the status is anything else:

  • The flow safely does nothing.
