📋 Automate Expense Report Approval Workflow

Simplify your business expense approval process by automating approval requests, updating your finance tools, and keeping everyone informed.

🚦 1. Trigger: New Expense Report Submitted

The workflow begins when a new expense report is submitted.

🛎️ 2. Request Approval via Slack

A message is sent to the selected Slack channel requesting approval for the new expense. Approvers can click Accept or Reject directly in Slack.

🔀 3. Approval Decision Branch

The workflow follows one of two paths based on the approver's response:

👍 If Approved:

  • QuickBooks: Automatically creates a new invoice for the approved expense.

👎 If Rejected:

  • Gmail: Sends an automatic email to notify the requester their expense was rejected.

📑 4. Log Expense Details to Google Sheets

No matter the outcome, the workflow logs all expense details into a Google Sheet for easy tracking and future reference.
