Instructions

Step 1: Trigger – New Campaign Open

Step 2: Conditional Check – Type Check (IF Block)

This step ensures the workflow only continues for certain types of contacts or events.

Mapping Tip: Verify that the condition references the correct contact type or campaign type. This prevents mis-tagging or unnecessary contact creation.

Step 3: Create Contact

Creates a new contact if it doesn’t already exist in ActiveCampaign.

Mapping Tip: Map all essential fields from the trigger:

Email → Contact Email

First Name / Last Name → Contact Name fields

Any custom fields (e.g., location, source) → respective custom fields in ActiveCampaign

Step 4: Add or Remove Tag From Contact

Adds a specific tag to the contact, e.g., “Engaged.”

Mapping Tip:

Map the Tag Name field exactly to the tag you want in ActiveCampaign.
