Instructions

Step 1: Create a New Flow in viaSocket

Log In to viaSocket:

Go to your viaSocket dashboard and log in.

Create a New Flow:

Click on Create New Flow to start building your automation.

Step 2: Set the Trigger for Teamhood

Choose Teamhood as the Trigger Application:

In the flow editor, click on Add Trigger.

Search for and select Teamhood as the application.

Select the Trigger Event:

Choose New Task Created as the trigger event.

Click Continue.

Connect to Teamhood:

If you haven’t connected Teamhood yet, authenticate your Teamhood account and grant the necessary permissions.

After authentication, choose the Workspace and Project you want to monitor for new tasks.

Test the Trigger:

Create a test task in Teamhood to verify that the trigger picks up the new task.

Step 3: Add a Filter Condition

Add a Condition Block:

After the New Task Created trigger, click on Add Condition to filter tasks based on specific attributes.

Use the Condition block to define which tasks should continue to the next action (Slack notification).

Define Conditions for Filtering:

Priority: Use a condition to only continue if the priority is high.

Example: Priority = High

Assigned User: Filter tasks based on the assigned user(s).

Example: Assigned User = John Doe

Due Date: Filter tasks based on the due date.

Example: Due Date = Today

Task Type: Filter tasks based on their type (e.g., Milestone, Bug).

Example: Task Type = Milestone

Test the Condition:

Make sure that only tasks that meet the condition proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Set the Slack Action

Add Slack Action Block:

After the Condition block, click on Add Action.

Search for and select Slack as the action application.

Choose Send Message as the action type.

Connect Slack to viaSocket:

If you haven’t connected Slack yet, authenticate your Slack account.

Select the Slack Channel where you want to send the message.
