Instructions

1. Trigger – Campaign Monitor

App: Campaign Monitor

Event: New Subscriber

How it works: Every 15 minutes, it checks if a new subscriber is added to your mailing list.

Mapping:

Map the subscriber’s Email Address, Name, or any other details you want to track.
Example:

Email → EmailAddress

Name → Full Name

2. Action – Google Sheets (Lookup Row)

App: Google Sheets

Action: Lookup Spreadsheet Row

How it works: It searches your spreadsheet to see if this subscriber’s email already exists.

Mapping:

Spreadsheet → Choose the correct file

Worksheet → Select the right sheet

Lookup Column → Email

Lookup Value → EmailAddress from the trigger

3. Action – Google Sheets (Update Row)

App: Google Sheets

Action: Update Spreadsheet Row

How it works: If the subscriber is found, it updates their information (or you can add them if not found depending on your settings).

Mapping:

Spreadsheet → Same file as above

Worksheet → Same sheet

Row ID → From the lookup step

Columns → Update details like Name, Subscription Date, etc.
Example:

Name → Full Name from trigger

Last Updated → Current date

4. Action – ClickSend (Send SMS)

App: ClickSend

Action: Send SMS

How it works: It sends a personalized SMS to the subscriber using their phone number.

Mapping:

To → Subscriber’s phone number field from trigger or spreadsheet

Message → Something like:
“Hi [Name], thank you for subscribing! We’re excited to stay connected.”
