Visual Studio Code Integration

Connect GitHub Copilot to 2,500+ apps via Mushroom MCP

Important: You must have GitHub Copilot enabled and set to Agent mode in Visual Studio Code for Mushroom MCP to work properly.

Configuring Mushroom MCP in Visual Studio Code

  1. Open the Visual Studio Code command palette (⇧+⌘+P on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows)

  2. Type "MCP: Add Server..." and press Enter

  3. Choose "HTTP (HTTP or Server-Sent Events)" and press Enter

  4. Paste your MCP Endpoint URL into the "Server URL" field and press Enter

  5. Give the server a name and press Enter

  6. Make sure that GitHub Copilot is set to "Agent" mode

  7. Ask GitHub Copilot to use the tools from your server!

How to access your Mushroom MCP Endpoint URL

  1. Go to mushroom.viasocket.com and log in.

  2. Open your Cluster or create a new one with "+ New Cluster".

  3. Add your apps by clicking "+ Add new App" and configure the actions you want.

  4. Scroll down to the Claude Configuration panel and copy your MCP Endpoint URL.

⚠️

Caution: Treat your MCP Endpoint URL like a password! It can be used to run tools attached to this server and access your data.
